The Prison puppet show

The Prison Puppet Show returned on Saturday! This time, it wasn’t for kids. It was part of Smethwick Puppet Festival presented by Black Country Touring. On Saturday 21st Feb I excitely shared the updated version, featuring added rap songs and proper great special effects. I was contractually obliged to throw in an F-bomb, a C-bomb, or maybe a Sausage-bomb to secure that hard 16+ rating

The show followed Rod-Knee, the moniker of a prison inmate who earned his nickname by whacking knees with a rod. He told two stories about fellow inmates: John Coffee Cake in the tale The Cream Mile, and Cyrus the Virus in the story Con Hair.

It had silly handmade puppets, terrible rapping, and the absolute gosh darn promise to be scared straight.

Also, before hand I put on a workshop, make your own prison puppet! Which was a lot of fun.
